Stretch Mark Reduction in Mumbai — clinical protocols that reach the dermis.
Stretch marks form when the dermis tears under rapid skin expansion — post-pregnancy, growth spurts or significant weight change. Surface treatments cannot reach the structural damage. At Hermosa Hermonia, MNRF and combination protocols work at the dermal level, where the real remodelling needs to happen.
Stretch marks are a structural problem — creams work on the surface, not the scar.
When skin expands faster than the dermis can keep pace with — during pregnancy, rapid growth or sudden weight gain — the collagen and elastin fibres in the dermis tear. The body heals this rupture with scar tissue, but the fibres are replaced in a disorganised pattern that lacks the normal skin architecture. This creates the indented, discoloured lines we recognise as stretch marks.
Topical creams and oils can hydrate the skin surface and may help prevent new marks during pregnancy, but they cannot reorganise dermal collagen or restore the depth of damaged tissue. Effective treatment requires reaching the dermis directly. At Hermosa Hermonia, clients from Andheri West, Versova and Juhu find that a course of MNRF, tailored to their specific marks and skin type, delivers the most meaningful visible improvement available outside of surgical intervention.
Post-pregnancy stretch marks on the abdomen, hips and thighs
Growth-related stretch marks on the back, shoulders and upper arms
Weight-change related marks on the abdomen, buttocks and inner thighs
Red (early) stretch marks — most responsive to treatment
White (mature) stretch marks — improved texture and reduced visibility
Treatment Options
MNRF and combination protocols for stretch mark reduction
The right approach depends on the age, colour and depth of your stretch marks. We assess all three before recommending a treatment course.
MNRF for stretch marks
Microneedling Radio Frequency (MNRF) is the most effective clinical option for both red and white stretch marks. Insulated needles reach the dermis at the depth of the damaged collagen scaffold and deliver RF energy that contracts existing fibres immediately while triggering sustained neo-collagenesis. Over a course of sessions, the atrophic zones fill progressively — improving texture, reducing the width of the marks and diminishing their colour contrast with surrounding skin.
Targets both red (early) and white (mature) stretch marks
Dermal remodelling at the depth of the structural damage
Best results over 6–8 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart
Microneedling + topical GFC
For red, early stretch marks, microneedling combined with Growth Factor Concentrate (GFC) offers a gentler but effective alternative to MNRF. The micro-channels created by the needles allow GFC's concentrated platelet-derived growth factors to penetrate the dermis and directly accelerate tissue repair and vascularisation — speeding up the natural remodelling process and improving colour and texture within fewer sessions than standalone needling.
Best suited to red or newly formed stretch marks
GFC accelerates healing and collagen formation
Lower downtime than MNRF — 1–2 days sensitivity
Combination protocols for resistant marks
For wide, deep or mature white stretch marks, we use a layered approach: MNRF for dermal remodelling, followed by chemical peels to improve surface texture and pigmentation contrast, and GFC infusion through the open channels. This multi-modality strategy addresses the stretch mark at every level — structural, vascular and surface — and produces significantly better outcomes than any single treatment for the most resistant cases.

Realistic expectations clearly set at consultation
We believe in setting realistic expectations before any course of treatment. Stretch mark reduction is a gradual, cumulative process — and the degree of improvement depends on the age of the marks, the body area and the individual's healing response. At Hermosa Hermonia, Dr. Nehha G Punia takes the time at your initial consultation to grade your stretch marks, explain what is realistically achievable and build a protocol that gives you the best possible outcome within those parameters.
Stretch mark type (red vs white) and depth assessed by Dr. Nehha G Punia before every course
MNRF depth and RF energy calibrated to the body area being treated
Combination protocols (MNRF + GFC + peels) for deep or mature stretch marks
Post-treatment care instructions provided — sun protection is critical in Mumbai's climate
